Professor Russell graduated Magna Cum Laude with her BBA in Marketing and Management and was awarded her MBA with an emphasis in International Business from Northeast Louisiana University (NLU), Monroe, Louisiana (now known as University of Louisiana at Monroe.) She lived in Hong Kong and attended courses at Shu Yan College as part of her MBA studies while working as an international business consultant.
Upon graduation, Professor Russell worked globally as a marketing and education director and consultant for several of the world’s largest cosmetic companies in the health and beauty industry. She also managed several privately owned businesses. Most recently, Professor Russell worked for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the nation’s largest, non-federal law enforcement agency. She has joined the College of Business Administration at UNT to pursue a doctoral degree majoring in Management with an emphasis on Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship.
