Welcome to the Web Page of Marcia J. Staff, Regents Professor of Business Law, College of Business Administration, University of North Texas. Her research and teaching interests include Business Law and Ethics and dispute resolution under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). For the 2008-2009 academic year, she is serving as Interim Chair of the Department of Finance, Insurance, Real Estate and Law. Professor Staff recently concluded a three year term as the editor in chief of the Southern Law Journal. She is serving as chair of the University of North Texas Faculty Senate for the 2006-2007 academic year. Professor Staff was elected by the faculty of the University of North Texas to deliver the 2000 summer commencement address. Her address was entitled "Success is a Means, Not an End." One of Professor Staff’s favorite places is a stretch of the Guadalupe River between Canyon Dam and Highway 306 outside the town of Sattler. She and her husband have a modest River Haus about a mile and a half river from Canyon Dam. If you are toobing or boating down the Guadalupe River and you see this house, you have reached the Staff-Mitchell River Haus. When Professor Staff and her husband are "in residence" at the Staff-Mitchell Haus, things are relatively calm. When their adult daughters are there, things can be quite interesting. Want to see a toobing dog? Professor Staff's favorite band is The Randy Rogers Band. You can check out The Band's web site The Randy Rogers Band. The deck on the Guadalupe River looks like this.
The view from the back porch looks like this.
