The University has allocated 25MB of disk space on their campus servers to each student that is enrolled in classes. This disk space is accessible by either a) logging into the Novell network on a campus computer or b) connecting to from the Internet. To connect from the Internet and for detailed instructions, see below or visit http://untss.unt.edu (don't use www.)
To log in on campus (ex: a lab machine):
- Double-click on the Novell Login icon from the desktop.
- Enter your EUID for the Username field.
- Enter your password (same as Eaglemail and myUNT password), then click ok.
After, you click OK, and a message box pops up, click YES to continue. It will continue to log in.
To access your disk space, double click on the My Computer icon on the desktop. You will see a drive (H:) listed that starts with your EUID. You can use this drive like any other drive when saving or opening files.
IMPORTANT! Logoff when finished! When you leave the PC, make sure you double-click the Novell Login icon. Just press enter at the login screen to re-login as the machine number (MF40, SP20, etc.; no password required). If you do not follow this step, the next user will have access to your files!
To log in from the Internet:
- Open a browser.
- In the address bar, erase what is there and type "untss.unt.edu". Note: It will not work if you type www before it.
- Click the "Login to UNT Student Storage" link.
- Click yes to any security popups that appear until you arrive at a login screen. NOTE: If you receive a error page, click the back button until you recieve the security popups, then click yes until a login screen appears.
- Your user ID is your EUID plus the context in the following format (euid.first letter of euid.students.unt). For example if your EUID is aaa0001 then your context is a.students.unt so your full login ID would be aaa0001.a.students.unt.
- Your password is the same as Eaglemail and myUNT password.
