Dr. Goodwin’s areas of specialization in organizational behavior include leadership and research methods.

Dr. Goodwin’s research interests are focused on leadership model development and testing; the influence of various cognitive processes, structures and styles on stress and leadership; decision-making; and psychometric applications in organizational behavior. She is a member of the National Academy of Management, Southern Management Association, and the Southwest Division of the Academy of Management. She has been a member of the management faculty since 1991.

Dr. Goodwin’s research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Leadership Quarterly, and Journal of Organizational Behavior. She received a best paper award from the Center for Creative Leadership for an article published in the 1994 Leadership Quarterly, and has received the Developing Scholar Award and the Professional Development Institute Business Administration Fellowship Award.
