PLP Student Successes

PLP students are some of the best around. They accomplish great things making them outstanding PLP alumni. Below highlights some of our alumni and their accomplishments this year, achieved with assistance from PLP.


PLP Class of 2008.

Hakan Ceylan snagged an internship with Yahoo for the summer of 2008. His experience will include working on projects that will explore methods to find relationships between entities collected from various sources such as Wikipedia, Web UGC documents, Y! Local and Y! Vertical database.

Sara Draznin accepted a job in Phoenix, AZ with the Teach for America Corps, which places teachers in some of the lowest income parts of the nation and provides children of lower income families with the education they deserve.

Jaxon Hunter is interning with BDO Seidman LLP for summer ‘08. Jaxon is working with the Audit Department and spends 25% of his time in the office and the rest of his time at his clients’ offices testing their internal controls.

Kate O’Neill was awarded the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants Undergraduate Scholarship.





PLP Class of 2008.

Dmitry Perevertailenko interned in Spring ‘08 at The Dallas Symphony Orchestra within the Department of Development. Several employees acted as PLP mentors to Dmitry, but the President, Dr. Fred Bronstein was Dmitry’s official mentor. Dmitry believes the opportunity prepared him for a career in orchestra management.



PLP Class of 2008.

Jennifer Pita completed an internship with Denton Presbyterian Hospital (Spring ’08) and initiated into the Order of Omega Honor Society. For summer 2008, Jennifer is a marketing intern at Orthofix, Inc, which produces and sells orthopedic products.

Sabrina Pojar is attending medical school at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona this fall. Her plans for the future include working in a small town or an underserved area as a primary care physician.

Emily Schrader will be hard at work this summer and fall semester studying; however, for the Spring ’09 semester, Emily was chosen to intern with Deloitte.
