Doctoral Students Awarded Travel Grants for Fall 2008

The recipients for the COBA Doctoral Student Travel Grant Award for Fall 2008 were recently selected. Please join the College of Business Ph.D. Program and Research Office and the College of Business Doctoral Program Committee in congratulating the following Ph.D. students. Best wishes go to the following students as they pursue their careers and continue successful research.

  • Muhammad Hossain is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Information Technology and Decision Sciences. His paper is titled: Development of Statistical Quality Control: Evolution or Revolution. He will present his paper at the Decision Science Institute Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, in November of 2008.
  • Oyku Isik is a student in the Department of Information Technology and Decision Sciences. Her paper is titled: E-Learning Satisfaction Factors. She will present her paper at the Decision Science Institute Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, in November of 2008.
  • Wai-Kwan (Elaine) Lau is a student in the Department of Management. Her paper is titled: Factors Influence on Success Mass Customization. She will present her paper at the Decision Science Institute Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, in November of 2008.
  • Solomon Ogara is a student in the Department of Information Technology and Decision Sciences. His paper is titled: Factors affecting E-mail Usage: An Empirical Study. He will present his paper at the Decision Science Institute Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, in November of 2008.
  • Hong Qin is a student in the Department of Information Technology and Decision Sciences. Her paper is titled: Service Quality Perceptions and Customer Satisfaction in Fast-Food Restaurants in China. She will present her paper at the Decision Science Institute Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, in November of 2008.
  • The Ph.D. Program and Research Office would like to send a special “thank you” to the Doctoral Program Committee members for reviewing the submissions and making the Travel Grant Award final selections. The Committee members are: Drs. John Kensinger (chair), Carol Ann Frost, Victor Prybutok, Audhesh Paswan and Mark Davis.
