ITDS Professor's Paper One of Ten Most Accessed In MIS Quarterly

Dr. Mary C. Jones' paper entitled "The Dynamic Structure of Management Support Systems: Theory Development, Research Focus, and Direction" has been listed by the Association of Information Systems (AIS) as one of the ten most downloaded papers based on the average number of full-text downloads per day since the paper was made available on-line.

MIS Quarterly is widely recognized as the information systems discipline's top journal. Dr. Jones' paper, co-authored with Dr. Thomas Clark, Louisiana State University and Dr. Curtis Armstrong, Tennessee Techninological University, appeared in print in the September 2007 edition of MIS Quarterly and was made available on-line at the AIS website shortly thereafter. It presents a theory of success of a broad class of information systems that support managerial decision making. It does so by using a system dynamics perspective to systhesize previously disparate streams of research about individual classes of similar systems including business intelligence, decision support systems, and knowledge management systems.
