Marketing Professors Receive Recognition for Research Activity
In a paper published by Nel, Heerden, Chan, Ghazisaeedi, Halvorson, and Steyn (2011) in the Journal of Services Marketing, Dr. Audhesh Paswan was placed in the second group of most prolific researchers out of the 38 researchers who had published at least three papers in the 11 years (1998-2008). Dr. Paswan had published 6 papers in the focal 11 year period, which puts him in a group of only five researchers who have published at least 6 papers in the 11 year period. This ranking was based on the total research publications (a total of 417 papers) in the Journal of Services Marketing over 1998-2008. In addition, this study also ranked the affiliated universities, and University of North Texas was ranked 13th of 68 universities.
In addition, Dr. Gopala Ganesh was placed in the fourth group (with 4 publications in the 11 year period). Service marketing is a critical dimension of our global society and economy, and the consistent research productivity by and the resultant recognitions of the DML faculty puts UNT in the forefront of this critical area.
