PLP Student Directors
PLP Student Directors are members who have completed a minimum of one year of the PLP and have committed to an additional year as a member in a leadership position. As leaders in the PLP, Student Directors take on many roles including: peer mentoring; hosts of special events; event coordinators; student advocates; and team leaders of their assigned groups within the PLP.
Megan Biggs
Student Director
Megan Biggs is a senior at the University of North Texas majoring in Organizational Behavior and Behavior Human Resource Management. Megan spent the summer completing her internship at the Omni Mandalay Hotel. Upon graduating high school in 2006, one year early from Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas, Megan attended two years at Collin County Community College in Plano. She is very active at the University of North Texas, participating in Chi Omega Sorority, North Texas 40, Director of Fundraising for the UNT Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management, a 2008-2009 member of the Professional Leadership Program and is currently serving as one of the 2009-2010 Student Directors for the PLP. Megan enjoys hanging out with friends and family, shopping, running, and yoga.
Atia Flynn
Student Director
Atia Flynn is a senior at University of North Texas pursing her Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Applied Technology and Performance Improvement in the learning technologies program. She is employed at JP Morgan Mortgage Loan Services, and has 10+ years concentration in customer administrative support. Atia participated in the 2008-2009 Professional Leadership Program and will serve as one of the 2009-2010 Student Directors. She is passionate about helping people realize their potential and improving their professional and personal performance. She plans to continue her education by obtaining her Master’s Degree in Computer Education and Cognitive Systems at the University of North Texas where she would like to venture into the field of higher education.
Nick Marino
Student Director
Nick Marino is a senior at the University of North Texas majoring in Marketing. Nick transferred to UNT from Brookhaven College where he played two years of baseball and earned his Associates Degree in Liberal Sciences. Nick is an active member of the UNT community; he is a 2008-2009 PLP alumni, where he was voted by his peers as “PLP Member of the Year” and started PLPink, a philanthropy event focused on raising money for breast cancer awareness. Nick is currently serving as one of the 2009-2010 Student Directors for PLP and spent his summer as a Campus Rep for TOM’s Shoes. Nick enjoys fundraising and giving back to his community; he is a Make-A-Wish “Wish Granter” and hopes to become a Big Brother in the Big Brother/Big Sister Foundation.
