The Department of Accounting is offering this certificate to meet the growing demand for employees who possess the knowledge and skills to excel as an internal auditor in today’s complex business environments. This certificate provides knowledge on the many facets of internal auditing, including audit methodology and information technology.

ACCT 5120 Using Information Systems in Accounting
ACCT 5410 Audit-Investigative Process
ACCT 5440 IT Auditing
ACCT 5450 Seminar in Internal Auditing
Upon completion of the 12 hours, students should consult the Graduate Academic Certificate Advisor of the Accounting Department. The departmental advisor will fill out the verification of completion form. This document will be forwarded to the Toulouse School of Graduate Studies.
Additional Information
- The Department of Accounting is fully accredited by the AACSB.
- Certification courses will apply to a degree once you gain full admission to the MBA/MS program. In addition, students entering the MBA/MS program who do not have an undergraduate degree in business may be required to take background courses before entering the program.
- Courses completed while admitted to the MBA/MS program or under the graduate non-degree option will not be applied unless a student has already been admitted to the certificate program.
Admission Procedures
- U.S. citizens/permanent residents submit application, application fee, and official transcripts to Toulouse School of Graduate Studies.
- International applicants submit materials to the International Admission Office.
- The Toulouse Graduate School and the College of Business Graduate Programs Office process applications, and College of Business Graduate Programs Office will notify students of their admission status.
- Students who wish to enter the MBA/MS program will be required to take the GMAT and meet College of Business Graduate Programs Office entrance requirements before proceeding with courses beyond those needed for the certificate programs.
