MBA in Health Service Management

The MBA with concentration in health services management is a cooperative program offered by the UNT College of Business Administration and the UNT Health Science Center at Fort Worth School of Public Health. This program prepares students to facilitate the practice of health care and align the business of health care with its healing purpose. The program provides students with solid business management skills and  industry specific knowledge needed to effectively lead today's health care organizations. The broad spectrum of health care services in the Dallas-Fort Worth region affords students employment opportunities from a wide array of settings including hospitals, ambulatory care centers, managed care organizations, surgical care centers, medical group practices, pharmaceutical firms and consulting firms.

Students majoring in Health Services Management have numerous opportunities to participate in professional organizations.  Among these are:  the Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the Institute for Supply Management (ISM).
