Why did you chose to study at UNT?

I chose to study at UNT because of the amount of opportunities and resources available to me. Not to mention the great location to build your network and also the diverse culture to do it in.

What advice would you give to a student interested in the College of Business?

The UNT College of Business is a thriving program that has so much to offer. Therefore, take advantage of the unlimited amount of guidance and knowledge the faculty and staff have to offer.

How has the College of Business impacted your success as a student?

The College of Business has been the building block to my success by providing me the necessary skills to manage an internship, staying involved on campus, as well as excel in my course work.

What would you like to do after graduation?

I am looking forward to a career among the broad range of Financial careers while beginning to look for a distinguished Masters Program in the area I will be in.

Why did you chose to study at UNT?

I chose to study at UNT because it was both close enough to home and far enough from home. I wanted to experience the College of Business and begin an independent life.

What advice would you give to a student interested in the College of Business?

Use your core classes to gauge your interest in certain subjects. If a business discipline interests you, take associated classes and use your interest in those classes to choose your specific major.

How has the College of Business impacted your success as a student?

The College of Business has helped me understand what it takes to be successful in the world of business. The instructors go further than simply teaching their subject.

What would you like to do after graduation?

After graduation I would like to work in a front office position for a professional sports team or somewhere in the banking industry.

Why did you chose to study at UNT?

I chose to study at UNT because it was everything that I had wanted from a university: it was close to home, had a great business school and the people were amiable.  Today, I am so grateful that I made the correct choice in choosing my university..

What advice would you give to a student interested in the College of Business?

I would tell every student to get to know their professors as well as their classmates.  You learn something from everyone that you meet and you could either receive help from them or you could help them.  Also, it is very important to get involved in different organizations to get a full college experience.  You learn a lot of knowledge in the classroom, but a lot of knowledge is also gained through participation and involvement.

How has the College of Business impacted your success as a student?

The College of Business at UNT has helped me become the young professional that I am today.  Getting involved in many of the organizations that are in the College of Business has helped me learned skills that aren’t available in a textbook, the professors have taught me information that I will be able to use in the future and expanded my views on various topics, and the resources around the college have made sure that I have a good resume and that I am prepared for any interview.

What would you like to do after graduation?

After graduation I plan to work in the tax department of a corporation or work in an accounting firm.  I also enjoy traveling, so I would hope to do that in my free time. 

Why did you chose to study at UNT?

As a transfer student I chose UNT for the convenience of the location and the Military friendly atmosphere the University offers.  The College of Business has a very good logistics program and certifications you earn while taking the logistics courses.  The job placement and availability in the surrounding area was the ultimate factor in choosing UNT to study at.

What advice would you give to a student interested in the College of Business?

Just show up.  That is my advice.  You do not know what good things can lead from just showing up.  Once you think you want to come to study at the College of Business, come to the campus, take a tour, ask questions, and talk to the College of Business Ambassadors.  Just showing up will make it easier for you to find out what you want to know and not leave you with that “ I wonder” feeling if you didn’t show up.

How has the College of Business impacted your success as a student?

The College of Business has given me opportunities.  Every class taken will challenge you to bring out the best to become successful.  There are a number of opportunities for you to be a part of to find out what your strengths and weaknesses are and to build upon them to become successful in college and in your career.

What would you like to do after graduation?

After graduation I would like to be employed with a company that deals with and does a lot of travel internationally.  The sky is the limit all we have to do in take the initiative to get it.

Why did you chose to study at UNT?

I chose to study at the University of North Texas because as soon as I walked on to campus I felt such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. I'm a family oriented person so having the ability to be close to my home is very important and UNT provides me with the convince of going home during the weekends to visit my family.

What advice would you give to a student interested in the College of Business?

The College of Business is just the start to your carrier path. The professors here are amazing and are always willing to help you out. The College of Business provides you with many Business Organizations that you can join. You won't regret it.

How has the College of Business impacted your success as a student?

The college of Business has provided me with the skills necessary to become a professional in my field. I have grown as a person and as a professional as well.

What would you like to do after graduation?

After graduation, I would like to further expand my education by getting an M.B.A in the Health Service Management field.

Why did you chose to study at UNT?

I chose to study at UNT because UNT is a well recognized public university. The diverse student body here creates a dynamic global learning environment. The broad and comprehensive undergraduate programs offer the opportunities for me to explore a variety of research subjects and career paths. The various campus resources and support services enable me to maximize my college experience and optimize my potentials.

What advice would you give to a student interested in the College of Business?

Explore your career options while you are in college. Please do not limit your potentials by shying away from unfamiliar subjects. Know your strength and interests and establish career goals when you decide to study business. Try to obtain internship opportunities while you are in school in order to explore the path of your professional development. Focus on gaining professional skills that are necessary in the workplace.

How has the College of Business impacted your success as a student?

I learn the essentials in the business world in the various business foundation and advanced courses I took at the College of Business. Participating in the Professional Leadership Program offers me opportunity to polish my professional skills. My involvement with Delta Sigma Pi International Business Fraternity and Risk Management and Insurance Club enable me to practice my soft skills such as communication, leadership, and networking skills. The guidance that my professors offer me provide so many opportunities for my professional and academic development.

What would you like to do after graduation?

I would like to gain industry experience by working in a global institute in the risk management and insurance industry while pursuing actuary designation. Eventually, I would like to serve as a university professor in my field.

Why did you chose to study at UNT?

I choose UNT because in my personal opinion it has all the qualities a great university needs. We are ranked one of the best schools in the West, we have amazing advisers and professors, and UNT has a feeling of being a home away from home.

What advice would you give to a student interested in the College of Business?

The College of Business is a great school we have some of the very best professors, the classes are small so you get a lot of  one to one time with some of the professors. The College helps find wonderful internships for students in Texas, and it feels amazing to be part of such a great family here at the College of Business.

How has the College of Business impacted your success as a student?

I feel that I have been impacted by COB in becoming a better person,  being a better student, and in learning that I can be whatever I want to be and they will help me get their through the education and great advice that they provide to us.

What would you like to do after graduation?

After I graduate from college I am hoping to go work for hotel chains or for the federal government. I have thought about working outside the US maybe going to Latin America and working there so I can grow my horizons and be able to do what I do best as an HR manager.
