Scholarships and excellence recognition awards are competitively awarded by the Department of Accounting Scholarship Committee to Accounting majors on the basis of academic excellence, merit, professionalism, and need. To be eligible for a scholarship, you must be a full-time student in the semester when the scholarship payment is to be made. A full-time student is defined as an undergraduate student taking a minimum of 12 academic hours or a graduate student taking a minimum of 9 academic hours in the long semesters. The summer term for undergraduate counts as a semester only if you take 4 to 6 hours both semesters and for a graduate student, 6 hours both semesters. For additional information, see the application form or contact the UNT Department of Accounting.

Please print out the application form from the link above. Only ONE application is required to apply for ALL departmental scholarships. If you have additional questions about the application process, please contact Ivy Naude at naudei@unt.edu.
